there are many many people who like to have fish as pets in their homes.. because fish are the easiest to take care of.. and once the nitrogen cycle has been set then theres no looking back...
except there are regular water changes and the cleaning and everything that could be a pain.. but depends on what size of a tank you have..
i have a 75 gallon fish tank and have two filters on the tank.... one is the Penguin 350B power filter for upto 75 gallon tanks... then link can be found here [Next Tag] and an Aqua Clear 110 ..the link is here [Aqua at Amazon] these two filters do the job very well... and then I have a air pump and a water heater which is at about 78F for my tropical aquarium..
used to have a variety of fish in my aquarium.. now theres only two angels remaining... and when they go Im going to set up a cichlid tank...
keeping fish has many advantages...
1] they are easy to take care of
2] they are so pleasing to look at
3] research says that children with fish tanks in their houses/appts score better on their SATs
4] the smooth movement of the fish in the tank creates a calming effect on ruffled feathers..so next time you have had a bad day at the office, or a bad day at home try sitting in front of your fish tank and just looking at the fish...
